A lot, but not enough!

In Missouri, workers can be compensated for injuries on the job through workers compensation. Workers are also entitled to be free from illegal discrimination and retaliation in the workplace. Workers have a right to their earned wages and other compensation. And Missouri's constitution guarantees workers the right to collectively bargain.

Unfortunately, many of these rights have been eroded over time. State laws increasingly make it more difficult on workers.

Not every workplace issue needs a lawyer. But if you're concerned that you're being treated unfairly, you should consider getting legal advice. Some workplace issues are best dealt with quickly and have important deadlines. For example, to maintain a workers compensation cases, you typically need to notify your employer of an injury within just a few weeks of being injured. Many workplace cases need to be reported to the Missouri Human Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission within less than half a year to protect all of your rights. Some administrative appeals processes require rapid action so that the proceedings aren't tilted against you.

If you're worried about issues at work, don't wait.
